I don’t get it.

Those of you not in Missouri could probably care less about the Mizzou, KU rivalry…The Border Battle. Unfortunately such is not the case here.
Ricardo has been a pretty big Mizzou fan his whole life. Unfortunately for us, they are actually good this year. So, not only do we have to devote every Sunday to football, we now have to devote every Saturday as well. (Thank god the Rams suck this year, so they are only on TV when they’re out of town.)
So yesterday was the big game between number 3 Mizzou against number 2 Kansas. Ricardo spent the whole morning poring over the newspaper to see what the writers were predicting. At 11:00 the tv reporting started. 1:45 was when I had to be home from shopping so he could go “preparty” with a friend visiting from Michigan. He returned around 5:30 after I had raked all the leaves and hung all the Christmas lights. (Yes I did climb a 16 ft extension ladder and a tree.) We went over to a neighbors at 7 to watch pregame coverage followed up by a 7:30 kickoff. Meanwhile I’m trying to keep the kids from making too much noise and disrupting the game.
I took the kids home around halftime, because Piper Ann pooped in her pants. Not so shocking. He came home around midnight. Put a pizza in the oven and “fell asleep.” Yep, it burned.
So this morning the first thing he does while I’m cleaning up burned pizza and feeding the kids, is grab the sports page. This is quite confusing to me. Did you not watch the game? Do you not know what happened?
How many of you out there sometimes secretly wish your husbands favorite team would lose the game to progress them just so you can have your weekends back? I never do…

i must be a bad wife because i would have made my husband clean up the burned pizza, only to have him do such a crappy job, i’d have to do it myself anyway!

I would have made him do it and stood over him, telling him what a poor job he was doing!
