Tired of wasting food?

At my house it seems as though we throw away more food than we eat. It either goes bad, or the kids can’t be coaxed into eating it.
Here are some ways to prevent waste.
Instead of throwing away brown bananas, stick them in your freezer and make banana bread.
Don’t eat the heal of sandwich bread? Toast in grind it up in the food processor and freeze it. Next time you need breadcrumbs head to your freezer instead of the preservative rich breadcrumb can.
Why are cans of pumpkin so big? Scoop out 1 cup helpings into ziplocs and freeze them. Use them for pumpkin bread.
Don’t want to buy the super expensive tomato paste in a tube? Buy the cheap can, use what you need and freeze tablespoon helpings in ice trays. After they’re frozen put them in baggies or tupperware.
Let your freezer be your friend and not just a frosty mug, and when we have no groceries meal holder (you know fish sticks, frozen broccoli with cheese sauce that you got at a steal).
I’d love to hear some other tips from all my loyal readers!
