Holy Valentine’s Day, Batman

At our house we are obsessed with superheroes. The kids love to play “bad guys” and dress up. Unfortunately I wasn’t on the ball enough to buy clearanced superhero costumes after Halloween.
So, the kids will have to settle for these primitive ones I made. Gay superhero sidekick mask included! I’ll give them to them tomorrow for Valentine’s Day as we start our 6 days with no school. What am I going to do?

How cute… why 6 days of no school?

Presidents day is Monday. A happy day for the teachers, but, for some crazy reason, the parents never seem as happy. 😉

Yesterday at a Bright Beginnings playgroup AP got into the costume box, and the first thing he picked up was a purse. Holding that, he put on a very frilly scarf, a woman’s wig, and a pair of silk shorts over his pants. I looked over to the other side of the room and Maybelle had on a hard hat with a baby doll in one hand and a pair of toy pliers in the other. I told the leader: I’m not sure if I’m doing a good job, or a bad job…
I can only wish for superheroes.
