Did you feel it?
This morning Ricardo and I were jolted out of deep sleep due to our bed shaking. My first thought was that the furnace was acting up, but then I realized all the windows were open and the furnace wasn’t on. Ricardo said, “it must have been an earthquake.” He went and checked the gas lines to make sure they were in tact and they were. Of course I couldn’t go back to sleep.
St. Louis sits on the New Madrid fault. It was my first assumption that thats where it came from. It actually came from the Wabash Valley fault which runs through Indiana. They said effects from it could be felt 300 miles away.
This in not the first time I’ve felt the effects of the Wabash Valley Fault. When we lived in Evansville in 2000 – 2001. There was a small earthquake while we were in a meeting at work. Ricardo never felt it, because he was in his car.
Well, Ricardo, I hope you enjoyed your first quake.
