The Big Reveal
A few weeks ago I mentioned that I was finishing up a top secret project, well here it is…
My youngest sister just graduated from high school and is off to college next year. I was trying to think of something meaningful, functional and, of course, handmade.
I decided to tackle my first “really quilted,” not baby sized, twin quilt. It was a little more than I expected, especially since I’m a self-taught quilter. I’m super excited about how it turned out, and she loved it.
I made a coin quilt for her.
For the quilt binding I just used random lengths of the fabric I used for the coins.
Summer
So, I’ve been neglecting this blog for a little over a week. My only excuse is that Summer happened.
I’m not going to completely neglect you this Summer, but I have a feeling posts will be few and far between. I have a couple of projects I’m working on that I’ll share with you when they’re finished.
I was reading Kelly’s blog over at The Kellogues and she posted about key words that people have used that lead her to her blog. I thought I’d play along. Her funniest was “clothes of 1959.”
I would say mine was “spraytan games.” I can only imagine that maybe it was supposed to be Spartan Games or something, Can you imagine a game where you shoot each other with a spray tan nozzle. Whoever gets the most streaks loses!
